Etihad plans to take on lease Boeing from Jet Airways

MUMBAI: As per the statement released by the Etihad Airlines, it will take two Boeing aircrafts 777-300 ER’s on rent from India’s Jet Airways. Etihad has 24 percent supports in two Boeing Aircrafts which is worth of more than Rs. 2,060 crore.

However, the Abu Dhabi based airlines said that they were not at all interested in taking leasing plans from its partners in India.

Etihad also said that two Boeing aircrafts 777-300 ER’s and twp Airbus A330-200s are already in process and are planning to introduce two new plans at the end of this year.

Earlier, the 3 Boeing Aircraft of Jet Airways were rented out by Turkish Airlines and had came back recently to Jet Airways after completing their leasing period. Before the proposal of Etihad Airlines, Jet Airways was planning to introduce these plans on international routes but as the proposal of Etihad came, Jet cancelled their earlier plan.
