AMERICAN AIRLINES WILL CHARGE MINORS UP TO 14 YEARS

Latest reports from the American Airlines stated that it will charge fees from passengers carrying children ageing from 5 years to 14 years. The airlines categorized such children as unaccompanied minors and also announced to ask $ 150 more for every child. The new regulation by American Airlines will be implemented from 3rd September ’14. At present, charges are asked from passengers for unaccompanied minors in the age group 5-11. This statement was announced on 21st August ’14, during an employee publication ceremony. The American Airlines said that increasing the fee for more children will help ensuring the safety of the passengers and will also match the US Airway’s Policy. Both US Airways and the American merged in December 2013 to form American Airlines Group Inc. The United Airlines is believed to charge $150 each for minors in the age group 5-11, while the Delta charges $100 each way for children in age group 5-14, for Southwest its $50 each way for kids in age group 5-11.
