Baggage Rules and Regulations

On United Airlines flight passengers are allowed to carry one personal item and one bag free of cost. The personal item could be anything like purses, backpacks, briefcases.

Carry on baggage:

45 linear inches (22 x 14 x 9 in) which you can fit either in the overhead bins or under the seat or in front of you.

Checked Baggage:

Under this, you can carry two standard bags. Maximum dimensions for checked-in baggage 157 centimeters or 62 inches.

Excess Baggage:

The extra baggage charges are $150 to $200 USD for the third one.

Overweight Baggage:

Bags that exceeds 46 kilograms or 100 pounds will be charged.
$200 to $400 depending upon the excess weight.

Oversize Baggage:

Bags that are from 63 to 115 linear inches will be charged.
$200.00 USD.
