New Delhi: Today, the airline company; Jet Airways declared the abandonment of four flights to Newark, Toronto and to and from Brussels. This happens because of the strike carried out by major union trades in Belgium.

The flight that have been cancelled are Mumbai-Brussels-Newark service (9W-228), Delhi-Brussels-Toronto flight (9W-230), Toronto-Brussels-Delhi (9W-229) and Newark-Brussels-Mumbai (9W-227).

“It will directly disturb the flight activities out of Brussels airport” said by an airline spokesperson on Monday to the planned industrial unrest in Belgium.

In order to decrease disruption, travelers are being re-accommodated on flights through Abu-Dhabi and Paris.

The Spokesperson also said that various other options such as postponing travel dates, rescheduling of flights etc are offered to the travelers who have borrowed tickets to transit via Brussels, to and from Brussels on 8th December.

She also added that the airline company is doing each and everything to decrease the affect of disruption, which is not in our control and we seriously regret of the inconvenience.
