Allegiant Air Baggage Policies, Guidelines and Protocols

Allegiant Air is an American airlines which provides the best quality service at the low cost. Located at the outskirts of Las Vegas. The airline is serving over more than 10 centralized cities. The Los Angeles International Airport, Orlando Sanford International Airport, McCarran International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport are in business terms with the Allegiant Airlines. Other destinations covered by these airlines are the small cities. Allegiant operates scheduled and charted flights by came in contact with other major airports.

There are over 105 domestic destinations in more than 40 states which gets the services by the Allegiant. There is only Economy Class Cabin in the aircrafts.

Check-in Protocols

There are numerous protocols regarding the check-in services. By keeping a check on the following rules you will get aware about the check-in policies. 

• Online Check-in

Allegiant is serving the web check-in options to their travelers. This service gets starts from 24 hours to 60 min prior to departure. Things to keep in mind while using web check-in service.

1. When you get the mobile boarding pass on your smart phone devices, you may take out hard copy of the boarding pass.
2. Get your electronic ticket.
3. You are supposed to ingress your reservation with the E-ticket number and the confirmation code.

• Mobile Check-in

Allegiant Airlines provides the application called Allegiant2Go which is used to access the check-in through the mobile check-in service. This services gets active 24 hours before your departure. All you need to do is:

1. Get the mobile boarding pass on your mobile phone devices.
2. Collect your E-ticket
3. Ingress your reservation with E-ticket number and the reservation code.
4. Mobile boarding pass will not be acceptable so you are supposed to get the hard copy o0f the boarding pass.
5. You can pay at the airport ticket counter to get your ticket. 

• Check-in at the airport counter

You can choose Check-in for allegiant flights at the airport ticket counter. The check-in process gets active at the boarding gate before 60 min of the departure. Get the printed boarding pass.

Allegiant Airline Rules for Arrival time

All the passengers are supposed to reach the airport at the suggested arrival time as per the Allegiant guidelines I.e.

2 hours prior to the departure.

The time required to check-in with carry-on baggage would be 60 minutes before the departure.

The time needed to check-in with checked baggage would be 60 minutes before the actual departure time.

Allegiant’s Baggage protocols

The Allegiant Airlines baggage protocols included theese basic rules which are as follows.

1. It is free to carry a single small personal item such as a purse, a small bag or a laptop bag. You can carry one of them without paying extra.
2. Your carry -on bagcan be a roll-abroad bag, a tote bag or a garment bag. The fees will be applied to them.
3. Checked baggagewill be charged with the applicable fare. The applicable fees will be charged according to the number of checked baggage. Extra cost will be charged in case of baggage over size and the permitted weight limit is 40 pounds.
4. The bags exceeding the limit of 80 inches or 203 cm in dimension will be considered as over sized baggage and the fees will be charged accordingly.
5. Sports equipment like golf bags, skis, fishing rod and related equipment, hockey are allowed but limits should not be crossed. Extra cost will be charged if the limit exceeds as per the protocols and guidelines.

Allegiant Airlines Infant ticketing policies

Children having the age of 2 year old are not required to have their own seats as they may sit on the lap of their guardian or parent.

One lap child is allowed with a single adult. In case of 2 infants having the age under 2 years old, you are supposed to purchase the seat for the second one.

Children who are 14 days old and the kids under the 2 year old age will not be charged if they are travelling with a fare paying passengers not less than 12 years of age.

Lap children or infants are not permitted to sit in an exit row.

To sit in an exit row the passenger must be atleast 15 years of age.

Allegiant rules for Minor Passengers

Children travelling without any legal guardian or adult will be considered as unattended.

You should be atleast 15 years of age or above in case of travelling alone.

Children having the age of 14 years old or less must be accompanied by the adult whose age should be atleast 15 years or above.

Allegiant Pet Policy

Pets should not be other than cat or a dog. Only cats and dogs will be permitted.

Your pet carriage is permitted only if it is soft sided and leak proof. Moreover, the carriage should not exceeds the following dimension 9 x 16 x 19 in (h x w x d) respectively.

The carriage must be fit under under the seat and itv should be FAA authorized.

Single pet is allowed per carrier.

All the pet carriers will be checked at the ticket counter prior to check-in.
