Amaszonas: Fleets and Baggage Policy

Bolivia based airline, Línea Aérea Amaszonas is shortened to Amaszonas and has headquartered at La Paz. Established in 1998 and has commenced operations in 2000, Amaszonas airline has an extensive network of fleet and operations. The airline has a subsidiary fleet named Bombardier CRJ, which is comfortable and flexible.

Premium Fleet: Bombardier CRJ

The aircraft features a wide body and consists of 13 rows of four seats through a spacious cabin. Bombardier CRJ operates 60 airlines across the world. Also, the aircraft serves domestic airlines for short flight times. The regional aircraft has a segment of 50-100 seats with comfort and luxury.

Línea Aérea Amaszonas or Amaszonas never failed to expand its flying operations in longitudes with accurate fuel capacity. Along with major destinations such as Chile, Peru, Paraguay, Bolivia, La Paz, and Argentina, the airline is serving domestic destinations for years.

Baggage Policies

Check-in Allowance

  • Hand Baggage: The baggage should not exceed a maximum weight of 3kg if a passenger is flying in Fairchild Metro M-23. On the other hand, if you are a passenger of Bombardier CRJ-200, your hand baggage should not exceed 5Kg. Mark down the exact measurements: 30 cm X 20 cm X 27 cm.
  • Checked Baggage: It should have a maximum weight of 20kg for adults and 10 kg for children (2 Years to 12 Years).

Prohibited Items

A passenger is asked to display the content in baggage for security reasons. Make sure you don’t travel with the following items:

  • Sharp elements
  • Gel and aerosols
  • Liquids
  • Weapons
  • Open containers

The containers should be sealed and packed for their allowance.

Charges for Extra Weight

Depending on the availability of free space for all excess baggage, the prior payment is decided as per the extra weight you need to carry along.

Lost or Damaged Baggage

  • A passenger can contact airport counters of Amaszonas S.A. and report for his lost or damaged baggage.
  • You can send a query mail to info@amaszonas.com.
  • The process for lost baggage lasts for 8 days with all efforts to return your baggage if lost by Airport management of the Airline.

Passengers should carry important documents with them such as ID card, valid passport for foreign travellers, Birth Certificate for Bolivian kids under 12 years of age. They should show these documents if asked by airline personnel. For checked baggage allowance, you have to reach at airport counter at least 30 minutes before the flight’s departure.
